Fantastic stay at The Sails! Simon and his team are incredibly accomodating, we felt so welcome from the moment we arrived. Great advice re food recommendations, local sights etc. Clean, simple rooms with ample amenities. Absolutely loved the beautiful new renovation on the pool and bar area. Such a cool aesthetic. Highly recommend this little hem. We will be back.
Staff were absolutely lovely and so welcoming. Rooms were extremely clean and the general atmosphere was kind and safe. So close to everything and Old Maids burger shop (two doors down) is delicious! Will definitely be coming back :)
We loved our stay at The Sails Motel. Beautiful spot, lovely pool, friendly staff and clean room. Our family never wanted to leave. We will definitely come again.
My club booked accommodation last month for a date in April and paid a deposit of $500. We then proceeded to pay deposits for several other bookings associated with our event because we had secured accommodation. At the time the owner's sister was quite polite and helpful.This week my club received a call from Simon (the owner) cancelling the booking and refunding the deposit. Naturally this has caused major issues with our planning and other deposits. We are now left in the situation where we need to cancel our event and start again, as all other accommodation options in the area are unsuitable.I called to clarify the reason for the cancellation. Apparently Simon has decided he now has a 'no groups policy', despite entering into a contract with our club. He claims that he has had trouble with bowls clubs and other clubs in the past, particularly older men, despite him knowing nothing about our club nor the people in it.What an unprofessional way to conduct your business! We are now on the hook for the other agreements we entered into. Simon thinks this is fine, presumably because it's not really his problem!I'm sure the property is clean and tidy based on the other reviews, but be warned - your booking may be cancelled based on the biases of the owner. Simon, if you're in the motel business you really need to do better by your future customers.
