loved it here very busy great restaurants and beach a lot to see

This beach is popukar with visitirs and locals alike. It is a dog-free area from Torakina Reserve south to the end of the surf club premises. The dog exercise area extends for 200m south of the surf club's southern perimeter fence and is NOT a leash-free area - all dogs must be kept under their owner's control and all dog-droppings removed from the beach by the dog's owners/handlers.The beach is patrolled by volunteer lifeguards from the Brunswick Heads Surf Lifesaving Club during peak NSW/Qld school holiday periods. There is a relatively mobile sand bar behind the gutter that forms immediately to the south of the southern breakwall (of the Brunswick River). As well as the sandbar being a spinal injury risk to those who dive under waves, water in that gutter has been known to have a strong drag effect, especially on an outgoing tide. While this beach is relatively safe, it is not suitable for weak or inexperienced swimmers unless they are swimming between the flags.Do not swim at this beach if the local authorities have closed this beach as it is extremely dangerous during adverse weather conditions. The southern breakwall area is a renown spot for surfing and body boarding, whale-watching (May-September) as well as being a rock fishing location for those with NSW fishing licences. While it is generally safe to walk through the beach access tracks from the park adjacent to South Head Road, please do not camp in the hind dunes. This area is a known habitat for native fauna including echidnas, swamp wallabies and eastern brown snakes.

Beautiful walk out on the rock wall.. Park lands and river swimming too..
