Excellent family beach with calm water, behind the beach there is a huge picnic area with plenty of shady trees and several covered picnic tables unfortunately no barbecues so you have to bring your own. There are toilets and cold water showers. Parking can be a problem during holidays and weekends.
One of the best children beaches I've been to. We loved it. For the more adventurous, you can jump off the bridge which is about 100m from the beach

A great family beach protected by rock walls and the kids don't have to worry about getting knocked over by waves. There is shade near the beach as well as a picnic area nearby. And toilets and showers too.
Pleasant little protected beach in the river close to the mouth. No waves at all, so good for kids or non swimmers. No dogs allowed there, even on leads, or on the main Brunswick Heads surf beach
